So, in my last journal, I made a list of resolutions for art.  Summer classes ended up eating up a lot more time than I expected, and there wasn't a lot of time for me to draw while I was in Russia.  Since I got back, I spent some time at the beach, and got a job as a fencing instructor for a camp.  This has been the first week I've really had time to dedicate to art.  So, now that all that is done, I am going to try to keep up with my art resolutions again.  If I find it isn't working when I get back to school, I'll make changes.  I've been in a very crafty mood recently though (mainly from starting to browse through etsy), so I'm excited to

So, I have a list of things I've been wanting to draw and sew for ages, but I always end up putting it off to do other things.  I want to start making time so that I can work on getting better.  To make sure I don't just keep putting it off, I've decided to set some goals for my art: 1. I am going to start spending time on an art project at least once a week. 2. I am going to post something to dA at least once every two weeks.  It wont necessarily always be a big project, it could just be a sketch that I post to scraps, or something I post on my other account. 3. I am going to write a journal entry at least once a month.  Maybe some featur

I am very excited. Last night, I exchanged gifts with Will Brown (fencing master and magic extraordinaire) and now I have my very own blade.  It's shiny, and right now it's got a purplish blue sheen, which may go away with time, but looks awesome currently.  The handle is red, but he mentioned I could switch it out with a black one, if I preferred.  I've been smiling to myself all day about it.  It's so pretty. *squee*  Now, all I need is to come up with a name for it...
